EYC Finds a Home at Yellow Cube - Tulse Hill

Updated: Oct 25, 2023

EYC prides itself on being the only gaming youth club to meet young people where they're at, and that's why we love to move our set-up across South London to ensure people from different areas and estates can feel at home when we come down. However, after setting up at over 50 different venues in the past 18 months(!) we thought it made sense to hold down the fort at a suitable location where there was a clear demand for regular, weekly sessions. Step up Yellow Cube in Tulse Hill, a striking new building with the perfect space for our consoles and screens (plus a 7-a-side pitch next door) in the heart of the community. We moved in from August and our three-times weekly sessions have been making waves ever since!

On a Tuesday we host our open sessions where anyone is free to play whatever game they fancy. On Thursdays we host competitive league nights with points up for offer on FIFA, NBA 2K, Brawlhalla, Fortnite & more. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your gaming journey, you can compete to win for pride and of course prizes. What's more, you can now keep up with the live league table here - .https://www.esportsyouthclub.org/league-table Wednesdays are all about levelling up your game at our skills sessions where we host coaching sessions that offer valuable insights and tips to our attendees. Expect Fortnite masterclasses and FIFA sessions led by friend of EYC and pro FIFA gamer @rannerz. These sessions are designed to help you refine your skills, understand game mechanics better, and ultimately become a more formidable player in your chosen game.

"The staff are very friendly" - Tolu, 16

"I really love this club" - Ibraheem, 11

To celebrate opening up at our new home we hosted an open day on September 2nd. We were open all day from 10am to 6pm and even hosted a 7-a-side football tournament on the neighbouring pitches. The tournament brought together gamers and football enthusiasts, creating a dynamic atmosphere of competition and camaraderie. The icing on the cake was the grand prize — a pair of free tickets to an Arsenal game at the Emirates! It was an unforgettable day that showcased EYC's commitment to building a vibrant community for young people. EYC's mission is to make gaming accessible for all and in doing so, provide a safe, sociable space for young people to explore their passion.
