We're delighted to bring you the lowdown on part 2 of the EYC Cup Final, this time, NBA 2K was the game, and Take Two Interactive - the makers of the NBA 2K game's - Headquarters in the heart of London was the location. Here, the best young players from South London gathered to battle it out for glory.
The journey began back in December as we embarked upon hosting our 12 free-to-enter tournaments held at various youth clubs right across South London. The EYC team have had over 150 talented and
passionate young gamers come through, providing them with a platform to showcase their skills and passion for competitive gaming. The EYC Cup has once again proved to be a testament to the demand for a safe space for young people to socialise and compete whilst gaming.
The winners from each club were then granted a rare opportunity to step into a professional gaming setup for our finals day, which only added to the excitement and anticipation. As the day unfolded, the atmosphere was buzzing with vibes. The competition was fierce, with skilled gamers from across South London converging to display their prowess, in first-to-21, 3v3 matches on Blacktop.
In a twist of fate that added an extra layer of excitement, the grand final saw two best mates pitted against each other, vying for the ultimate glory. The intense showdown between them showcased not only their exceptional skills but also their remarkable sportsmanship. It was a sight to behold, as they demonstrated the true spirit of competition and friendship.
Finally, let's not forget the enticing rewards awaiting the winners. The champion of the 2023 EYC Cup - NBA 2K was bestowed with a stunning, brand new Bulls Jordan jersey, while the runner-up took home an impressive HyperX headset. These prizes, along with the everlasting memories and the validation of their gaming abilities, will undoubtedly fuel their passion for esports and can inspire them to reach new heights whatever path they choose.
The EYC Cup has left an indelible mark on the South London youth scene. The event showcased the incredible talent, dedication, and sportsmanship of the region's young gamers.

Their support and collaboration have been instrumental in elevating EYC to new heights as we've now had over 1000 young people since launching our not-for-profit back in 2022.
